Light Bleeding Between Periods. History Of Having Unprotected Sex Followed By Intake Of Norlevo Pill. Can Bleeding Continue Till Next Periods?

Hey my period started on the 15th of November and ended the 19th my cycle is usually 28 days. I had unprotected sex on the 21st and got the norlevo morning after pill. Today (29th) I have some very light bleeding. Is this normal? Are side effects not supposed to stop after 48 hours? Is it true this bleeding can continue until my next period?

Hi thanks for your question.
There is nothing to worry. Irregular and unpredictable bleeding is the side effect of emergency contraception. This bleeding usually stops after 4 to 5 days but sometime continues till your next cycle. In case the flow increases consult a physician who may prescribe you drugs to control bleeding.
Hope this answers your question.
