Looking Details On Adult DPT And Polio Vaccine

i would like to know about dpt adult dose????i have taken the childhood vaccine..now i need to take dpt adult dose before proceeding to another country? any booster need tobe taken ?is itavailable in india? any adult polio vaccine available??

If you completed childhood vaccination for DPT till 5 years , you can take one dose of Tdap (available as Boosterix or Adacel) and Td boosters every 10 years.

Regarding polio vaccination , vaccine is same as childhood vaccine .

Regarding travelling(Indian citizen going out of India), one dose of oral polio vaccine regardless of polio vaccination status is required travelling to polio infected countries (Afghanistan, Ethiopia,Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan,Somalia, and Syria,Cameroon). But vaccination certificate should be taken from government authorised centre only , and one month before departure , certificate valid for 1 year. ( rules and countries affected may change from time to time )

In resonse to Sr Kaushik k Murthy'response :- he is right that adults do not need polio vaccine and there s no such adult polio vaccine manufactured.It is same OPV as given to children.It is required in special circumstances as updated by ministry of health, Govt of India site in relation to Eradication of Polio.
