Loose Yellow Stools, Paining During Bowel Movement, Skin Smells Like Metal, Pain In Stomach. Gall Bladder Removed. Any Ideas?
I have had a hysterectomy, had my gallbladder out . I have loose yellow stools and sometimes I have had pains so bad to go to the bathroom. then I go back to not being able to go. but something new is my skin smells a little like metal, and stools are yellow with a bad odor. pains in left side of stomach, but sometimes on both sides and back.. I smell metal or sulfur smells a lot anymore.. I am 55 yrs old.
Bile acids are needed for the digestion of fat in the meal. Following the removal of gallbladder the amount of bile acid reduces and there may be problems with digestion. Gastritis may be the the reason for pain in the stomach. The yellow stool with bad odour is due to undigested fat. Consult your doctor. He may advise your for bile acid supplements. If the symptoms persist you may go for Ultrasound of the abdomen.
