Lost Weight, Enlarged Lymph Node In Thyroid Gland. Had A Scan. Are They Related?
I have lost 40 pound since may, in 5'7" 112 pounds as of today. Tomorrow I'm having a Hida scan with cck. I havent been able to eat full meals or fatty foods at all. In addition to that I have an enlarged lymph node in my neck behing my thyroid gland. I've been thru every test imaginable for months and have no concrete answers to the weight loss which has resulted in a slew of other Heath issues. This scan and a follow up scan of my neck are my last hope for answers. Is it possible the lymph gland is throwing off my thyroid function without changing my thyroid levels? Are these thing related?
I don't think that the lymph gland is throwing off thyroid function without changing thyroid levels.
This may not be the case, instead we need to rule certain other important things. These include malignancy, tubercolosis etc which usually are characterized by chronically enlarged lymph node or nodes with significant weight loss.
