Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is in xxxxx on holidays and she has emailed me saying that for the last few days her blood sugar level is low,now she is shaking, double vision and feels faint. She has been to the dentist their to get her root canal done on both teeth. Could this be related to her teeth or diabetics or something different?
The low blood sugar level is a sign of hypoglycemia and hypotension. Fainting, double vision and shaking are the symptoms associated with hypoglycemia. I would advice you to get a check-up by a physician. There is no correlation of the above mentioned symptoms with the tooth to be treated by root canal. Please do visit your dentist and get your mentioned teeth root canal treated. Maintain oral hygiene well. Take complete course of antibiotics. Rinse your mouth frequently using warm saline and betadine. Use chlorhexidine mouthrinse to gargle. Take care.
