HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Based on the symptoms of burning on urination, lower abdominal pain, frequency of urination , it is likely that she has a urinary tract infection.

A urinary tract infection can involve any aspect of the urinary tract ( the urethra, bladder, ureter, kidneys). Most often the bladder is involved.

Women are more likely to present with these infections compared to men.

Treatment involves the use of a lot of oral fluids and antibiotic therapy. The doctor may also take a sample of urine to send to the lab to determine which bacteria is causing the infection and to check its response to various antibiotics.

To reduce the chances of a recurrent infection your wife should : (1) empty her bladder regularly
(2) empty her bladder before and after intimacy to prevent any urine present from becoming infected
(3) drink alot of water
(4) consider keeping cranberry juice at home, in the early stages of urinary tract infections- this can help to treat

I hope this helps
