Lower Body Pain, Waist Down, Tingling, Cramps, Ruled Out Blood Clots. Taken Cortisone. Done MRI And Doppler. Why Inflammation?

Hi! I have had issues in my lower body (waist down) for over a year. Started as what I thought was sciatic, then continued to muscle tingling & cramps(I had a Doppler done on legs to rule out blood clots) started on cymbalta in November (2012) referred to rheumatologist who ordered X-rays & MRI of hips. Pain moved to heel end of November got a cortisone shot in heel- immediate relief but pain moved to hips. By January saw rheumatologist again who stared me on methotrexate. Pain alternated between hips and knees. Went back to rheumatologist in April- knees hurt so bad(worse than hips) no change on methotrexate , he gave me a cortisone shot in each knee and did a Vectra blood test. Shots did not work and pain continued to get worse, I am bone on bone in hip & MRI showed inflammation in hip joint. My general practioner thought it was fibromyalgia and started me on gabpentin. I went to Cleveland clinic(2nd opinion ) saw a neurologist & rheumatologist. Ruled out MS. Did EMG- normal. Rhuematogist thought it looked like RA. Did more X-rays (shows bone on bone-hip) blood work ok. She increased gabapentin to 300mg x's6 per day. Referred me to a pain specialist, by now I am in severe pain - muscle spasms have improved but not pain. Received an injection into hip joint /pain moved to knees. Hip pain was much better but only lasted a month. Meanwhile my hands have started hurting more(especially thumbs) hands were xrayed . I used to own & operate a fitness center which I closed in may because of my health. Osteoarthritis runs in my family but no one has been in this much pain or had it come on this quickly. I have done 2rounds of physical therapy & I am doing water therapy now.i saw another rheumatologist for 3rd opinion & he started me on plaqenil. I have an orthopedic appointment set & another series of pain shots. Any thoughts on this?
