Lower Leg Pain, Cold, Shivering, Low Temperature, Warm To Touch. Cure For Symptoms?

My 9 year old son has come home feeling rather unwell. He complains of his lower legs really hurting him and he is feeling cold and shivers (actually he is normally feeling very hot and always asking me to turn the heating down) He seems to be rather distressed about the pain. His temperature on thermometre is low but he actually feels rather warm to me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
if the climate outside is very cold he may suffer from hypothermia and if he has visited tropical country few weeks back he may be suffering from malaria and is in cold stage. give him some warmth and get investigated for malaria if he has high temperature following fever and assess his serum electrolytes as altered sodium level can cause severe cramps and pain in legs
