Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Age 19, normal physical, somewhat inactive. Recently I ve been having calf muscle pain and strain as well as shin splints in the region between my knee and my and my ankle. Recently I ve developed a soft, golf-ball sized lump behind knee on the same leg. Is this a lymph node disturbance? It is making my leg tingle a bit, so I thought maybe it was disrupting my nerves as well. I only notice it when my leg is out straight.
Hi,thanks for quesy. This could be a cyst, means a bag life structure which is filled with fluid. It may cause some pain when comes under pressure.Does not require much treatment,if it causes pain and increase in size, please consult your doctor and get investigated for this.In such cases removal needs to be done.
wishing you good health.
