Lump, Hard, Painful When Pressed, Purple. Reason?

Hi I have a lump about 1cm in diameter that is hard and painful when pressed on my abdomen. it was only reddish before i squeezed it but now it is purple on the outer rim and more reddish on the inside. after i pressed on it for a while it decreased in size but it never goes away and the are of discoloration does not change(although it becomes all purple as the bump goes down after pressing for a while). I've had it for about 2 days now. I also went on a hike and took a dip in a river the day before i noticed this lump.

HI,
After reading your history it appears that you might have purpura over the abdomen. This can be due to trauma to local area which is causing damage to the skin day by day. I advise you to not pinch or pop the area. You can apply a mild steroid cream such as Cortisone cream. If itching is present then can take benadryl accordingly. Consult a dermatologist for checking the aggravating factor.
