Lump In Sternum, Increasing In Size, Painful, Chest With Bump In Middle. Suggestions?

Hi I have a lump in my sternum about 1 inch long. It's been there ever since I was hot there with a basketball really hard when I was 7 I am now 13. This lump has gotten bigger threw the yrs and is now hurting and when I press on it a few seconds later I can't breath very well for a little while. And when I press on it a can feel the end of my ribs and its in the middle of my sternum I think my ribs and like wierd or something. So instead of a flat chest I have the wierd chest with the bumb in the middle ps I am a guy

Hi ! I would suggest you to show it to your family physician and discuss about an MRI scan to diagnose this problem. This may tell you if it is a bony swelling, or a hemotoma increasing gradually in size and then only the management can be planned. Good luck.
