Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Lump On Abdomen Below Waistline. Similar Lump On Jaw. Serious?
My husband has had a lump on his abdomen just below his waistline for a while. However, today it has more than trippled in size. It does not look like a pimple or other skin condition. Also he has developed a similar lump on his jaw that is starting to get bigger (not as quickly though). What could this be and is it enough to warrant a trip to the emergency room?
It could be useful know other characteristics concerning this mass.Knowing for how long the mass has been there, whether it is tender or not, whether the mass increases in size or stays the same, if it increases, the rate of increase and other accompanying symptoms.
Based on these findings and the physical examination, specific tests should asked. If he has not been experiencing any specific problems, it is unlikely that this should be something serious. However, I still suggest you consult a primary care physician for a complete clinical review. Kind regards.
