Lump On Back Of Shoulder Blade. Diagnosed As Cyst. Treatment?
I have recently been to the Doctors about a lump on the back of my shoulder blade. He said it is a cyst from an injury caused by my work outs, it has been a week now and it doesn't seem to be getting smaller. I have been applying heat every night just like the doctor suggested. Is there something else I could be doing.
hallo dear friend i hv studied your case you had which type of injury to back is there any stiffness in your spine or chest is swelling same or increasing day by day any redness?, pain on touching swelling if all no -then you can neglect swelling, dont pay much attention but if it is increasing , infected -then you need to intervene pain aggrivates on deep inspiration?
Hello. So you reffers ,you have possibly a sebaceous cyst, cavity under the skin containing fat.If your doctor has recommended applying local heat possibly have an infection of the cyst forming an abscess(purulent material cavity). That purulent material must be drained and local heat is the first measure used.If applying local heat-2/3 days-no drains the pus to the skin, you must go to your doctor.Your doctor will examine you and valued other therapeutic options:take an antibiotic, make a small incision to drain the abscess or both therapies. You must go to your doctor too if if they increased local inflammatory signs(warmth, redness, pain, tumefaction)or if you have fever I wish you good health.
