Lump On Labia Majora. Have History Of Hashimoto's And Vitiligo. What Could This Be?
Hi, I'm 34 years old. The only health issues I have are hashimoto's and vitiligo. I've been in Mexico for 4 months and 2 weeks ago I noticed a lump on my labia majora. Based on Internet search it seemed like it was a Batholin cyst so I started putting a hot water bottle in the area for 20 mins 2-3 times a day in absence of a bathtub. There has been no change and I don't have fever or pain, but do feel a bit of pressure now and then. I went to gyn today to have it checked out and after examination he thinks it might be a hernia or a nock cyst. Based on my symptoms and what I've read neither seem possible. Do you have any advice?
hello there! Thank you for asking, If the gynecologists opinion is not satisfactory you can have a second opinion, But self diagnosing is worst than self head blowing. So stop doing that. That mass needs an examination, Vitiligo and Hypothyroidism has nothing to do with that. it needs some work up, some gynecological exam , some samples of aspirate, some Sonography to find out consistency of the mass and a good gynecolpgists eye. Trust them, they know what they are doing.
Its good to know about your disease but its bad to be doctor enough to self diagnose. Let the professionals do it for you for your own health sake.
Good luck S Khan
