Lumps Around Opening Of Vaginal Tract, Irritating Skin. Started After Vaginally Removing Uterus. Remedy?

A long while back (1991) I had my uterus removed vaginally. Shortly after I developed little lumps around the opening of my vaginal tract. I was assured they were not any form of STD but rather adhesions for the instruments. In more recent times, I have noticed that there are more little lumps then there was before. What are these? They are irritating sensitive skin there. What do I do to get rid of them and will my Medicare insurance (I am 56) pay for it or is it an out of pocket expense?

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on health care magic.
Lumps at the vaginal outlet at your age (56) could be of concern.
I suggest you to get it examined by a Gynecologist at the earliest.
Some investigations like biopsy may also be required .
Treatment depends on the diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
regards,
Dr Nilofer
