Lung Infection. Fibrosis Ruled Out. COPD Was Bad. On Oxygen. Feeling Light Headed.
Hi Dr. Samuel Month ago I got real sick with lung infection was in the hospital for 5 day they rule out heart with echo and bubble study they thought it was pe that was rule out then they though fibrosis that was rule out with PFT. I did smoke four 30 they though might be copd my pft was bad but I was still very I'll not even able to walk 10 feet and on 3 lpm oxygen. Thefev1 Was59. I been doing a lot better no oxyen room air 98%heart rate79had follow up ray it was normal and blood work rbc 3.87hemaglobin11.87 I walk daily a mile in the morning,but I still get tightness in tracha and some time still sob. Have to usean inhaler to help coughing up clear to nasty tan thick .some time still feel light headed and weak yesterday felt so good and to day just kind of bad,lung have been clear no wheezing, rhonci help is this still with draw from smoking or what
If you have not withdrawn from smoking then you should. Secondly if a COPD is been diagnosed with PFT then you should be on inhaler as once you stop the breathlessness will continue. Also it will take little time to get better and you should also get your CT scan of the chest done to rule out any pneumonia
