Lungs Feel Choked, Keep Coughing, Have Low Grade Fever. Tests Conducted. What Does Report Mean?
a linear opacity within the right lung base, likely atelectasis and/ or scar. The lungs are otherwise clear, ithout focal consolidation or pulmonary edema . There is no pleural effusion or pneumothorax . Cardiomediastinal silhoutte is unremarkable. Visualized osseous structures appear within normal limits. I dont know what all this means but i feel like im choking, i keep coughing and i have a low grade fever. what do you think?

Your CT finding is basically within normal limits apart from the atelectasis, or scar which could mean nothing.
However it is important to provide some vital information starting with your age, smoking history, when do you cough most like morning, day or night, any family history of asthma, heart disease, Diabetes and BLood pressure and your occupation.
You may have asthma or COPD, which again be assessed from history and lung function test or breathing test. Sometimes, angina also can give you a choking feeling. Please provide more information to advise you correctly. Thanks.

Hope the test that you mentioned is a report of your chest x-ray.
All the description in the report are of a normal chest X ray , except for linear opacity within the right lung base, likely atelectasis and/ or scar.
This may indicate a infection of the lower part of your right lung which may be the cause for your cough and lowgrade fever.
It may also be scar of any previous infection and unrelated to your present symptom.
