MRI Done. What Kind Of Damage Will Cause Paralysis?
l4-5 moderate dessication and mild narrowing of the intervertebral disc. anterior disc bulge. mild posterior disc bulge with 4mm posterior central broad- based disc protrusion indents the anterior thecal sac. mild narrowing of t he central canal and neural foramina. disc contacts the exiting L4 nerve roots mild facet hypertrophy. This is my last MRI. I hurt my self 5 months later picking up on a hundred pound box of beef. since then pain is double and now my left leg is paralized from the knee down. I'm very concerned about permanent damage. What kind of damage Would cause paralysis.
your l4 & l5 nerve roots are significantly compressed and subsequently there is sensory and motor compromise
you should be taking strict bed rest with tab. mahagaba you may require a discectomy to relive the pressure on the nerve root else the nerve root will get permanently damaged
