MRI Showed Benign Lipoma At The Base Of Skull For Severe Headaches. Is This Serious?
Hi, I had an accident nearly three years ago, trauma to my head (concussion) and I'm still experiencing severe headaches. I had an MRI scan three days ago & the Neurologist told me today that I had lipoma at the base of my skull. He told me it was benign & to not worry, but I am. I should not be experiencing chronic headaches & was wondering if it is a result of the accident or inherited? He prescribed me pills & sent me on my way... Do I just live with this lump on my head???
Hello Thanks for the query. You don't need to worry regarding lipoma. its is a harmless condition. It may not cause any pain or irritation. However as you had sustained injury a regular follow up is must. Let me know if you have any doubts. thank you
