MY 22-YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAS SPIKED A FEVER OF 102.9, SOUNDS CONGESTED BUT DOES NOT FEEL IT (DOESN'T HAVE A RUNNY NOSE OR COUGH & DOESN'T NEED TO BLOW HER NOSE), HAS ACHES IN HER NECK AND UPPER BACK, AND FEELS OUT OF BREATH, LIKE SHE'S BEEN JOGGING. She has taken Acetominophin but her fever seems stable at 102.9. Does this sound like the flu or possibly an allergic reaction to something? She does not have asthma and is generally in very good health.
