MY Doctor Says My Foot Nerve Pain Is Probably Coming

MY doctor says my foot nerve pain is probably coming from an inflammation or problem with my psyatic nerve. He thinks it is coming from mysitting in certain chairs styles that put pressure under my thigh so I've switched chairs and raise my feet on a box but I am still having the pain. Though I admit it has lessoned dramatically, I still get it at night and still have the numbnes coming and going all day long whether I walk around or sit around. He prescribed gabapentin 300mg to take at bedtime if needed and I have taken it twice because I woke up with horrible pain in my foot. However I am so groggy in the morning I do not want to continue it. He has me on 9 motrins a day which I am not thrilled with either. Is there some easier way to make the pain manageable? I've been to my chiropractor twice for this, and he though it was coming from my lumbar 5 disc and might be a pinched nerve, however the adjustments he gave me didnt work this time. ( He usually makes an adjustment and whatever the probeem was it goes away). I have an artificail hip on my right side (the right foot is the problem) and both knees have been replaced, all about 5-7 years ago. My blood test all came back pretty much ok and good,no diabetes or high blood pressure. I am 64 years old and outside of my osteo arthritis am fairly healthy email is YYYY@YYYY
