Medicine To Stop Hair Fall And Reduce Dandruff And Dry Scalp?

Hi, I had a dry and healthy scalp till last year and very healthy hair. Suddenly my scalp has become very oily and there are lot of dandruff. Due to this and itchy scalp, i am having severe hairfall and boils on my scalp. My hair looks so dead. I have used minoxidil in the past as it doesnt work much on me. i take multi-vitamin pills regularly. I have already lost tonnes of hair esp. from the front. Please suggest medicines to stop hairfall and help me get back my dry, dandruff-free and healthy scalp type.

Welcome to healthcare magic,
Dandruff is caused by a fungus called Malazessia. This fungus is a normal commensal( residing in the body). Some people will mount an inflammation against it causing dandruff. This fungus lives in oily skin.
Use a shampoo containing Ketoconazole 2% and ZPTO 1% thrice a week for a month (Eg: Scalpe shampoo). After that continue using once a week at least for maintaining the improvement. Do not apply oil on your scalp. For the remaining days you can use a milder shampoo (Triclenz or Xgain ).

Hair fall needs to be diagnosed first. If it is a male pattern baldness Minoxidil 5 % solution 1ml twice a day is the treatment and you need to continue using it and it takes 3 months to notice any benefit. For Telogen effluvium you can take supplements for three months.
