Met Accidents, Memory Issues With Random Headaches, Continuous Sneezing. Dementia?
Hi, my friend had met with 2 major vehicle accidents 9-10 years back. He has noticed some memory issues with random headaches and continuous sneezing ever since. For the past couple of months, he is having problems remembering things he d used to do on a daily basis for several years. He also has watery eyes for the past few weeks. Should he be facing dementia?
Hello, Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query. I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. Dementia is a complication of traumatic brain injury. Many times this dementia appears after a few years of traumatic brain injury. Now this may be a case with your friend. He should undergo a fresh MRI scans and get evaluated for demetia. MMSE is an objective scale for measuring memory impairments. Also headache could be due to traumatic brain injury. Taking Amitriptyline could be useful. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
