Hi,
Mid-cycle bleeding can occur at the time of ovulation as a result of the hormone surge prior to ovulation that may induce a breakthrough. It is often limited to spotting for a couple of days at the maximum and may be associated with lower abdomen pain as the ovum is released. There is also a change in temperament during the premenstrual phase and this is part of the premenstrual syndrome. This is hormonal. If simple measures like exercise, proper diet and relaxation do not help, you may need to go for specific medications that include vitamin and hormone supplements and anxiolytics. Hope this helps.
