Hi i have been getting bleeding at mid cycle for about 6 months now .I have 2 year old boy with a natural birth.I went To get a smear test done and she told me I looked Abit bulky and that it may be the reason why I have mid cycle bleeding.I have some dull pains in my lower abdomen but not severe.I did have an infection in my uterus about 5 months ago but had a scan and was cleared up..getting really worried.I had my hormones checked and the came back normal.but have noticed I m very tempermental sometimes.please any advice would help
Hi, Mid-cycle bleeding can occur at the time of ovulation as a result of the hormone surge prior to ovulation that may induce a breakthrough. It is often limited to spotting for a couple of days at the maximum and may be associated with lower abdomen pain as the ovum is released. There is also a change in temperament during the premenstrual phase and this is part of the premenstrual syndrome. This is hormonal. If simple measures like exercise, proper diet and relaxation do not help, you may need to go for specific medications that include vitamin and hormone supplements and anxiolytics. Hope this helps.
