Mild Headache, Feeling Hot And Cold, Purple Bruising On Thighs And Buttocks With A Possible Fine Red Rash

Recently I triaged a patient who had the following signs and symptoms. Mild headache, feeling hot and cold, purple bruising on thighs and buttocks (no trauma), a possible fine red rash, and a temperature of 32.2 degrees celsuis. That temp was rechecked and thermometer was checked against other people. She also felt very cold to the touch, but was lucid and could answer my questions.

Hello

I have studied your case.

Fever with skin rash suggests possibility of viral illness.

Another possibility of systemic infection.
You may need to investigate in form of complete blood count, ESR, CRP, and if required fine needle aspiration cytology.

You may need clinical examination also to confirm diagnosis.
Till time you can start medication and antibiotic consulting your treating doctor.
