hi doctor, my name is shinu. i write this for my nephew who underwent a surgery last year for otitis media with effusion. he is now 6years old. he had problem with right ear. mild hearing impairment was there. he underwent bilateral myringotomy with grommet insertion and adenoidectomy as well. one year is over and now on follow up we are told by the doctor that grommet of left ear has expelled on its own but of right ear is intact. it seeems he requires another surgery to remove the grommet. he is now havin his hearing impairment reappeared. sir, kindly help us with your valuable advice.. is it necessary that another surgery is to be done?? or else we would like to go for alternative treatment like homoeopathy. is it advisable and applicable at this stage?? please help...
