Mirena IUD Expelled, Bleeding With Large Clots. Chances Of Regnancy?
Hi, I had a mirena iud that came out by its self about 5 days ago. Today I woke up covered in blood (watery) with several large tissue-ish blood clots. Could I have been pregnant? Would thr have caused my body to expell the IUD? What can I do to find out of I was pregnant, would a pregnancy test still show a positive result?
Hi,
Thanks for query,
Your mirena IUd expelled after 5 years embeded in endometrium & when expelled causes endometrium to disturb causes a bleeding with clots from uterus.
Ideally the IUD may be changed by 4-5 years period.
There is no question of pregnancy as it has only 5 days to expel.
Thanks.
