Mirtazapine And Risperidone, Valium And Prozac Medications Taken Regularly. Side Effects?

My husband ..73 years old has been mirtazapine and risperidone also valium and prozac for about 13 years..my concern is about the drugs mirtazine and risperidone..how would I get him off of these two drugs...should they be be given lesser dose or can they just be not taken..would there be danger to him , if he did not take these anymore ?

These medications are used for different reasons. Before you consider discontinuing any medications, you would need to consult with his doctor.

This consultation would allow the three of you to discuss the reasons for using the medications, any troubling side effects that may be concerning you, any consequences associated with discontinuation and the safest way of discontinuing them.

It would be a lot safer for your husband if you do not attempt to discontinue these medications without first speaking to a doctor.
