Miscarried 6 Weeks Ago. No Periods Yet. Trying For Baby. Tired And Hungry. Pregnancy?

I miscarried 6 weeks ago and not had a period yet and been trying for a baby. I've taken a pregnancy test yesterday evening and it showed negative but my appetite has increased like i'm always hungry all the time plus feeling tired and now seemed to get slight twinges in one of my breasts. Could i be pregnant again or can you please tell me what could be happening thanks.

Hello,

Following miscarriage, period may be delayed due to hormonal imbalance and other associated factors. In general, period usually starts within 4-8 weeks after miscarriage.

Here, you can wait few more days and after that, you undergo one blood test for beta hcg to confirm pregnancy. Pelvic ultrasound & hormonal assay may be required to rule out other pathology.

Please consult with your gynecologist regarding this. You may need to take progesterone supplement to induce period in exclusion of pregnancy.

Be well.
