Hello,

Taking birth control pill (combined OCP) gives more than 99.5% protection against unwanted pregnancy if it is taken regularly on scheduled time (5 min variation is not so important).

On the other hand, period date 1-7 days late may be considered as normal phenomena. It occurs due to hormonal imbalance & mental stress. If you do not get your period after 7 days of due date, you need to undergo one home pregnancy test. Blood test for beta-HCG is required to confirm the same.

Following test report, you can consult with gynecologist for next management. Good luck.
