Missed Periods After Taking Birth Control Pills And Pregnancy Test Negative. Is This Vaginal Infection?
Took new birth control for one month have not had period past two months after finishing the pack. Increased vaginal mucus but itchy and burning slightly colored. Also clear to white discharge from only one breast. Took pregnancy test last week and negative. Pretty sure I have a vaginal infection but not sure what to think if the other symptoms.

Hi irregularity in periods is a side effect of hormonal contaceptives. As you have itching and mucus secretion have to rule out bacterial vaginosis which can be cleared by metronidazole or clindamycine antibiotics. As you dont have periods for two months you should undergo an ultrasound examination before all these.Only that can rule out you are pregnant or not.urine pregnancy test can have false negatives.Hope this may help you thanks
