Missed Periods Followed By Rashes And Premenstrual Symptoms. History Of Abortion Followed By Regular Periods. Recommend
Hi, I missed my period about 2 weeks ago, but I had my normal pre-menstrual symptoms (acne, food cravings, ets) before that. I still have them, and then I got a rash that started about a week after I missed it. I also had an abortion in early June via pill, but my July period was right on schedule as my previous ones. What could be the cause?
Hello Thanks for your query. You havent mentioned if you have been sexually active since. The first cause is obviously pregnancy or a related complication like a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. Stress, weight gain, thyroid hormone disorders are other reasons. Viral illness, flu, fever ( the rash supports it ) also sometimes cause missed periods. Consult your gynecologist to rule out these, as well as other gynecological conditions such as polycystic ovaries, endometrial hyperplasia etc. Take care.
