Missed Periods, Vulval Swelling And Bulging Of Stomach. What Does It Indicate?

Dear Doctor,

I got my period in AUgust and egg got ruptured also.I got my period again in Sept,but that was for 2days and not as usual.I got vulval swelling and suffered for 3 weeks.In october i didn't get my periods.But weekly once i am seeing a drop or thread like.I put up weight and my stomach is growing like anything.What could be the cause?

Thanks for your query.
The reason could be pregnancy or a related complication like a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy.
Please take a pregnancy test to make sure of that.
Secondly, it could be polycystic ovarian syndrome or endometrial hyperplasia, that causes erratic spotting.
The vulval swelling also should be looked at for presence of bartholins' cyst.
Hypothyroidism or transient stress, weight gain etc can cause irregular spotting also.
Please have a gynecological evaluation to establish a diagnosis.
