Missed Taking The Femilon Tablet, Had Sex. Missed Tablet On The 11th Day Of My Cycle. Will I Get Pregnant? How To Avoid It?

Hi,
I am taking femilon tablet for the past 2 months to avoid pregnancy..But for the third month i missed taking the tablet for one day . Me and my husband had sex that night and i am really worried about the pregnancy now?

can you let me know the status my condition ? is there any way to avoid it now ?

Please Note : Missed taking my tablet on the 11th day of my cycle.

Please advise.

hello,
thank you for using health care magic,
well if it is less than 24 hours since when you involved in unprotected sex take emergency contracertive pill asap.. take its another dose after 12 hours of first dose..
if it is already more than 24 hours consult gynecologist and go for IUD insertion.. if you get IUD inserted with in 5 days of unprotected sex than there are rare chaces of pregnancy...
in future if you forget to take pill take it as soon as you remember and continue it in rest of cycle normally..plus for that particular cycle use additional method of contraception like condom..

Hello, welcome to the forum,
If by any chance you miss a pill then take the pill as soon as you remember. You can in fact take up to two doses at a single time.
Regarding your worry about getting pregnant is worth as to miss a pill will decrease the protective effect. For maximum contraceptive effect, each pill should be taken about 24 hrs gap to maintain the correct level of hormone.
Now wait for the withdrawal bleeding. If you miss the period then go for a urine pregnancy test after about a week, which you can do by your own with the pregnancy kit available OTC in medical store.
Unfortunately if the test is positive then you can take abortion pills within 12 weeks of pregnancy. Better to take the pill under a gynaecologists supervision.
