Hi,
Emergency contraception prevents pregnancy in about 85-95% cases when used within the next 72 hours. So the chances of pregnancy are low in your case.
These drugs change the menstrual cycle and may cause the periods to come earlier or later.
However the next normal period must come within 3 weeks.
So wait for three weeks form 17th October. If still there are no periods, get a pregnancy test done.

Hope this was helpful.
