Morning Sickness, Swollen Feet, Pregnancy Symptoms. Negative Pregnancy Test. How To Confirm Pregnancy?

o.k. i most definetly know im pregnant, i have all the signs and symptoms of morning sickness for these past couple of months now.Sometimes i have swellen at the feet and my ankles. But the thing is, i took a hpt around 11p.m last night, which was just a couple of hours ago and got a false negative. I just want to know did i take the test wrong or should i have taken the hpt first thing later on in the morning early?

Hi,
To get a proper result, the HPT is best taken with the early morning sample of urine. You did not say exactly for how long you did not have your periods. If it is a couple of months, then your pregnancy test should definitely get positive in whatever way you take it. If it is not, it means that you are either not pregnant at all or have a missed abortion (since you have symptoms of pregnancy). this can be confirmed by a blood test and a trans-vaginal sonogram. Consult your health care professional for further support. Good luck.
