Hello and welcome to HCM,

Hepatitis C virus is a hepatotrophic virus.
It is unlikely to cause swellings or lumps in the armpits.
Armpit contains group of axillary lymph nodes.
These lymph nodes are enlarged in infections, reactive inflammatory conditions, and malignancies.
Infections and inflammations is the most common cause thus you are prescribed antibiotic (flucloxacillin).
However, if the swelling is not regressing, you need to get an aspiration cytology done.
In this investigation, the cells from the swelling are aspirated with the help of a fine needle.
These cells are sampled, stained, and examined under a microscope.
The nature of the lesion can be determined by this investigation.
Consult your doctor for investigation and further work up.

Thanks and take care
