Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 10 mo old grandson has a front incisor that erupted with a split which presents as sliver (1/4 of total) that is at an angle projecting forward and away from the midline. So far, it is not causing problems. 1. should this piece be removed before he starts to eat all foods or when the permanent teeth erupt? 2. if so when and how? 3. should we look for any developmental issues (eg. polydactaly , extra didgets, sometimes point to cardiac issues) Thank you for your assistance.
