My 10 Year Old Daughter Was Stung By A Bee

My 10 year old daughter was stung by a bee on the bottom of her foot two days ago. Yesterday her foot was swollen and the site of the sting was red for about a three inch diameter. It was painful to touch and itchy. Also she developed a low grade fever (101) and nausea but I wasn't sure whether it was coincidental. Today the swelling has gone down but now the redness has turned purple, same diameter and painful, though the pain has slightly lessened and the itchiness has increased. I'm wondering if the purple is normal? I did scrape the stinger out of her foot with my fingernail right after the sting.
