My 13 year old son has been sick since last Friday. It began with a headache on Friday followed by a low grade fever Saturday morning and a dry throat and a dry cough. He saw the doctor that day and tested negative for strep and was said to have a cold. The cough has become more pronounced (loose) and the fever remained spiking its highest yesterday at 102 (most of the time it's hovered around 100). He saw the doctor again yesterday and was prescribed amoxicillin (pneumonia). He has received three doses thus far and still feels miserable. What should be our next steps if he is still not better tomorrow?
