Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 17 year old nephew is in UCSF, for a month, trying to stabilize his IBS that he has been suffering with for over a year. His doctors are using every drug therapy available. He is unable to even drink water. They are using iv nutrition to give his gut a rest. They are saying that surgery is suggested. My question is: can integrative medicine still be of help to my nephew? I see on the UCSF website that there are integrative medicine doctors on staff.
