My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter drank some codeine containing cough medicine yesterday and went to the ER immediately. They inserted an IV but no drugs were administered. She was admitted and observed for 4 hours and released. She has seemed perfectly normal since then. I just now heard that she had a white bowel movement (they went on a planned trip and are about 2 hours away). I have done some research online, but can find little information if the codeine could be the cause. The hospital gave no mention of it in her release papers. I am very concerned. She has had no other symptoms and is very happy with a good appetite. Thank You
