My 2 yr old son has been speaking in clear complete sentences since he was 18mon. Last week from 1 day to the next he started stuttering, mainly at the start of a sentence. Ex. "I I I I I want..." We are concerned because 4 days before he started stuttering he hit his head pretty hard during a fall. He is teething (2yr molars) right now and has had a fever. Everything else is normal. I've been told to keep an eye on it and see a speech therapist if it gets worse in the next month. What are your thoughts on this? Our son is very advanced for his age and seems aware of his stutter. He looks sad and gives up when he can't get his words out. I am doing a lot of reading. We are being very patient and not pointing out the stutter. We reassure him that everything is ok, but we are very concerned.
