My 22 year old son is in Hong Kong attending MBA school. He returned from a vacation on an island in Indonesia. He did contract an intestinal problem that ended after a few days. He's been back to Hong Kong for a few days and the problem is his eyes. They have been largely dilated since he left the island. Yesterday, he saw an ophthalmologist. He was able to un- dilate one eye with drops. Then Connor saw a neurologist who was also stumped, but Connor is getting an MRI tomorrow (hong kong time.) Connor has had a few concussions as a child due to falling. This was caused from a gland behind the ear that would enlarge due to a cyst thus causing sudden imbalance. There are several eye problems in the family history such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetes. Connor has 20/15 eyesight. He was actually in pre-med, but had to drop out because his hands tremble sometimes. I'm obviously worried and the fact that he is in Hong Kong doesn't help. I guess I'm wondering if it could by a bacterial something or perhaps something more serious. He hasn't had any unusual headaches. I'd appreciate your thoughts and any instructions I should have Connor to request of his diagnosis. Thank you. Carmen Close
