Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 24-year old son has a sharp stabbing pain deep between his shoulder blades and on Saturday could not turn his head and could not lift his right arm. His neck is a little better after 3 days but the sharp stabbing pain is persistent. He had surgery to repair a torn labram 4 years ago (the 2nd labram surgery in 3 years) but has had lingering neck discomfort and periodic pain deep between his shoulder blades. He also had a car accident 4 1/2 years ago that caused a concussion, neck injury (whiplash?) and jarred his right shoulder where he'd had the labram surgery 7 months before. Could the pain be disc related or a reinjury to the labram or a combination?
