My 36 yr old daughter has PCOD. With the first day of her period she is experiencing sever pain in the lower R quadrant. Last month she went to her Dr. to r/o appendicitis or diverticulitis. Today is the first day of her cycle, and again the pain has become quite sever. She rates her pain at a 7 out of 10. There is some relief if she stands up rather than lying down. She has applied heat to her side. She has taken 400 mg of Advil without relief. Pressing on her side seems to relieve the pain somewhat. She is unable to sleep tonight d/t pain. She is not running a temp. What do you suggest for relief ?
