My 3yr Old Daughter Is Having Fever From Past 5 Days

my 3 year old daughter has been having fever for the past 5 days my 3 year old daughter has been having fever for the past 5 days and five nights despite mediction. The diagnosis has been made for viral-cold and cough should the fever not suside within 2-3 days with the medication on? the fever is not going below 99.5-100 desipte the medication febrex plus- 3 ml 3 times a day and Piriton -2 ml 3 times a day fever is constant through the day only 1 night it was very high-about 103-104. i had showed 2 paeds, both said it was plain viral, no infection

hi my age is 26 and i am havin the same symtoms as yr daughter.

its bugging the crap out of me. on infections whatsoever and i have been on combiflam (sos) but i am takin it almost thrice in 24 hrs.

doc says it probabily viral. its been third day today.

my fever is also a little.... confusing if you may.

when the effet of the analgesic wears off the thermal distributation of fever is uneven in the body.

my forhead burns but feet and hands are cold.(hmmmmm)

i cant understand this.

is your three year old showing these kind of symptoms too?

i am having some antacids aswell

but i hope my fever goes down as i think so much combiflam might kick my bucket!!!

could any one please suggest wht to do?

as long as her cough is not increasing and she is still playing around and she has no breathing difficulty there is little to worry however I suggest that you take her to the paediatrician if the fever does not sub side in a day or two more

Yes if the child is playful usually it means the condition is not a worry.
