Suggest Vaccination Required For Trip To India

Hi, I m a 16 year old female high school student from New Hampshire. I m organizing a mission trip to New Delhi, India, to volunteeer in an orphanage. Which vaccinations do I and my classmates need to get? I ve had/am up to date on DTP, Polio, MMR combined, Chicekn Pox, HIB and Hepatitus B series. We are not planning on leaving the city. I ve looked into it, and the only things recommended for us are hepatitis a and malaria. Do we really need to get these vaccines?

Hi,

It is good if you get these shots too, hepatitis-A can be taken but malaria can be prevented by wearing full clothes and using malarial nets. Repellents can be used.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
