My 68 Year Old Husband Is Having Right Upper Abdomen

My 68 year old husband is having right upper abdomen pain and rt shoulder pain. He is running fever 99.4 degrees and he says it hurts to take a deep breath. If he moves it causes the pain in the upper abdomen and he says it feels like something poking him just under his upper ribs. He was started on erythromycin liquid yesterday to treat his acne. He was to apply the antibiotic in the mornings to his clean face. He has a history of severe allergy to sulfa drugs (anaphylaxis). The pain in his shoulder and upper rt abdomen started yesterday about 8 hours after he applied the antibiotic. Nothing other than the antibiotic changed in his daily routine. Today he was much better when he got up but he applied the antibiotic again and at 3:00 pm the pain started again. He is also having chills that don't seem to be related to fever. He was having them when he was cold and now he is hot and still having them.
