My 8 Yr Old Daughter Recently Was Diagnosed With An

My 8 yr old daughter recently was diagnosed with an upper respiratory illness by her pediatrician...prescribed amoxocillan, albuterol and pulmicort (aerosol susp for nebulizer). When we went to the ER to follow up on the eekend, she had a clear xray and was taken off the meds, including the antibiotics. Now, 2 weeks later, she awoke this morning with head and chest congestion, sore throat, slight wheezing in the upper region of her lungs and her tonsils are streaked with red and there appears to be abcess-type spots on them. She does not have a fever. This afternoon my 4yr old son began coughing and sneezing. His tonsils are slightly red but no sores and also no fever. I can not get ahold of their pediatrician and it is a nearly 2hr bus ride to the local hospital so if I can treat them at home,at least until tomorrow, that would be optimal. Neither child has ever been diagnosed with asthma, copd or any other chronic illness.
